class="ez-toc-section-end">

You are right that you sell two products: company formation, and ongoing accounting and tax work.

A formation client pays once and compares you with ten offices. A retained monthly client can be worth EGP 150,000–500,000 over three to five years.

Make formation a designed path: a written onboarding offer, the first VAT return done by you, and reminders before every filing date.

Build the foundation first (simple website, professional Facebook page, CRM), then run the campaign, and read results after three months.

“We want new companies that need formation, and accounting follow-up too”

The message came on WhatsApp from the owner of a chartered-accountant office in Egypt. The office handles formation of every company type, investment-authority procedures, contract and capital amendments, tax files, bookkeeping, VAT registration and returns, commercial-register services and tax consulting, across all governorates. It has a Facebook page and no website. His priority, in his words: attract new companies that need formation, and also accounting and tax follow-up.

Something in that is exactly right: he sees two products, not one, and knows that whoever forms a company today needs an accountant tomorrow.

Our answer was blunt: small boosted posts will not bring those clients. An owner about to hand you his books for years searches, compares and asks his lawyer or banker before calling anyone. So we proposed a foundation first: a simple website that builds trust with company owners, a professional Facebook page, then a campaign aimed at owners who need formation and recurring accounting, with results read after three months.

Which one pays for the marketing?

Look at it from your own ledger. A formation client pays once and has usually asked several offices for a price first. The request is easy to compare and many offer it, so building all your marketing on formation means a price race where every month starts from zero.

The monthly client is a different business. A company that hands you bookkeeping, returns and tax follow-up stays for years if served well. A realistic lifetime value for such a client is EGP 150,000–500,000 over three to five years, depending on size and transaction volume. That revenue can carry a marketing budget, which is why professional services marketing should be measured by retained clients, not messages.

A worked example

A serious program for an office serving every governorate, including ad spend, management and content, realistically sits around EGP 100,000 per month: EGP 300,000 over three months. If that produces only three retained monthly clients, their combined value is EGP 450,000–1,500,000 over the years, before formation fees. Dozens of formation requests and no retainer means you bought short-term work at a high price. Judge the marketing by the monthly contracts it creates.

How to design formation so it becomes a retainer

If you do not show a busy new owner the next step, he will find it elsewhere.

A written onboarding offer: formation plus the first three months of bookkeeping, with a defined scope and a clear price. He sees a partner from day one.

The first VAT return done by you: if the company will register for VAT, offer to prepare its first return.
